Suárez transferred to Ajax in 2007 and made a major impact at the Amsterdam club.
Suárez represented Uruguay in the 2007 U-20 World Cup. Until the arrival of Andy Carroll from Newcastle United at £35,000,000 a few hours later, Suárez was Liverpool's most expensive signing at £22,800,000
